MRS. LEGASSICK'S SCIENCE CLASS

5 Types of Energy

Picture

In this unit, students will build their understanding of various forms of energy and explore the uses of energy. They will observe patterns, cycles, and systems related to energy. They will design, plan, and implement an experiment that tests the effect of force on an object to further their understanding of mechanical energy. Students will use electrical circuits to produce light, heat, and sound. Students will conduct investigations to show how light travels and can be reflected and refracted. Through these explorations students will have a better understanding of how various forms of energy interact and affect our lives.
